Denise Dozier, MA
Denise’s passion is for couples, blended families, teenagers and young adults. Currently, she serves as a team member and the training facilitator of the bereavement ministry called “Beloved” at her home church. The Beloved Ministry assists members of the congregation by walking with them for one year as they adjust to their new life without their loved one. This experience has solidified her passion for grief work. Her style of counseling is one of love, compassion and humor. She uses a systemic approach assisting clients in enhancing their relationships and personal growth and development. Her theory of choice is Solution Focus for individual counseling and Gottman for couples and families along with some structural techniques. When she’s not counseling she enjoys attending movies and musicals with family and friends as well as cruising to various destinations. She enjoys watching the cooking channel as she observes how the chefs transform a mystery basket of food into a delightful meal. This reminds her of a caterpillar transforming into a beautiful butterfly.
